The cake was a great success. The lady whose 80th birthday it was was delighted with it (I've attached a photo of the cutting ceremony - she is with London's town Crier and the Trust* Chairman) and everyone enjoyed their slice. There was quite a bit left over so I took it to the St Mungo's hostel for the homeless the next day and they were thrilled to be able to give their residents a treat.
